Eternal Essence
God is One. The divine source of God's oneness is eternal. All things are aspects of this oneness. All difference is perspective. All perspectives about the nature of God are aspects along the continuum of a never ending story. The story of experiencing life through endless variety. From different bodies we each hold the eternal essence of God; the eternal oneness. Within this eternal oneness, we experience life from birth, to death, to the hereafter. What happens to the soul when we die is unknown. Nor can anyone absolutely claim to know what happens after death, this becomes a distraction and for some an obsession.
Worry not about your death and know that all things have their experience of existence and then fade from this experience. Let us rejoice in the beauty of the finite life we are all blessed with. Do not waste your energy worried about the life after this and know that all is of the spirit. That your soul is eternal and you do not truly die. You exist, you have always existed and you will always exist. But you will never experience this life again. That each incarnation of the soul, is a unique experience. That the eternal oneness of God lives through you.
We are the threads of the eternal oneness with which the fabric of experience is woven. We are the essence of God's oneness experiencing existence in human form.
Everything happens because it is a necessary experience for our soul. How we react becomes the catalyst for our spiritual journey, how we develop a relationship with our experiences and how we learn from these lesson is how we grow to be more spiritual and more loving through the practice. There are no mistakes, only lessons.
The principles and ethics within this discipline, in which we develop integrity, empathy, compassion, mercy, and love; only works through the adoption of the golden rule and the rainbow rule: threat others how you would want to be treated, then treat others as they want to be treated. We can only come to understand the rainbow rule through connection and communication with others. Without connection we move farther from Gods essence and more into ego. The more we connect to others to understand them, the closer we come to fulfilling God's will. With isolation comes a disconnection from God and a dependency on ego. Humanity is diverse and each aspect of this diversity is essential to fully understanding life as a human being. We are all alive to fulfill the will of the eternal oneness of God; to love, cherish, and help one another to cultivate paradise on Earth, where the whole of the human family can finally overcome the ego of separation and live in peace with one another and the natural world.
What might be called inner demons are aspects of yourself that are unhealed and unregulated. You are not broken, sinful or bad for being in an unregulated state, it is a matter of learning the right tools and techniques to manage and regulate one's emotions and start to change harmful habits. Let us reframe the notions of good and evil and think beyond the polorized dichotomy and begin to think of these aspects as helpful and harmful. When we rephrase these we become the catalyst to change instead of the victim of an outside force. We begin to take responsibility and accountability for our emotions, actions and the consequences of our choices.
If you search for happiness, you will only find fleeting experiences of desire. If you decide to be happy - regardless of the situations outside of your control - you gain mastery over your emotions. Happiness is a state of awareness, not something separate from you that you find outside of yourself. Choose to be happy and content and bask in the blessings of life. In the aspects of your life that you do have control over, work to change what you are not willing to accept for yourself. Do what you can with what you have and in all things strive to do the least harm.
The goal is not be perfect, the goal is to love and grow in love for the world as it is without judgement. That we should help one another and do no harm. That we should grow compassion and mercy. That we should devote ourselves to empathy and connection through community so we can achieve common unity.
Peace shall reign everlasting as soon as we grow away from our egoic selfishness and into the selfless acts that perpetuate love in each other's hearts. Treat each other well and do the least harm; do this and you shall know peace and fulfillment.
