Still. Not empty.
We've been taught that productivity is noise. Keep moving. Stay busy. If you're not producing, you're falling behind.
But what if the most powerful thing you could do today ...right now .. is stop?
Not to check out or escape. But instead to actually arrive at the destinations Sooner and more efficient.
Most of us are physically present and mentally everywhere else. We're in the room but we're running simulations , replaying yesterday, rehearsing tomorrow, never actually here (I'm sure we can see the same in those around us)
Contrary to popular belief, Meditation isn't about clearing your mind. It's about watching your mind. Learning its patterns. Seeing what it reaches for when it's uncomfortable. That's self-knowledge. And self-knowledge is the beginning of real balance and flow in every area of your life.
The Psalmist didn't say "figure it out." He said be still, and know.
You can't hear clearly in chaos. You can't build according to the vision when being pulled left and right by reaction. The still moments aren't a break from the work. THEY ARE THE WORK!
"In the rush and noise of life, as you have intervals, step within yourselves and be still." - William Penn
"Be still, and know that I am God." - Psalm 46:10
How often do you actually sit in silence, not consuming, not scrolling, just present? (be Honest) What comes up when you do? What are you usually feeling in those quiet moments? You all do a great job in being thorough and transparent with your replies. im looking forward to hearing your responses!
