- Robinhood doesn't offer full control over your crypto like other platforms. This means you can't transfer.. your XRP out of Robinhood to a personal wallet (for now).
- However, Robinhood has plans to roll out crypto transfers in the future, so that could change.
Lesson 5: Selling XRP
1. Go to Your XRP Holdings:
Tap on XRP in your Robinhood app to view your holdings.
2. Select “Sell”: You can sell all or a portion of your XRP.
3. Confirm the Sale: Review the details and tap “Sell” to confirm your transaction.
Lesson 6: Risks and Things to Keep in Mind
Price Volatility: Cryptocurrencies like XRP can be very volatile, meaning prices can go up or down very quickly. Be ready for potential losses.
Regulatory Risks: XRP has faced legal issues in the past with the SEC. While this doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going away, it’s important to stay updated on news about XRP.
Limited Control: Since Robinhood doesn’t offer private wallets, if you want to control your XRP fully, you might want to transfer it off the app once transfer features become available.
Bonus Tip: Watch Your Investment
Track Your Investment: Robinhood allows you to set up price alerts, so you’ll get notified if XRP hits a price you care about.
