This song…
Heaven’s Brand is not just a song…it’s a statement and movement.
its value goes against the grain of what many call social norms
It postures a woman directly in the presence of God.
The one who took time to form her exactly how he intended to be
before she was placed in her mother’s womb and before she became a
wife, or a woman that others would try to exploit and embarrass.
She’s God’s woman, who is filled will class and her lips are shaped to speak
with poise, passion, and purpose.
Her mouth is not filled with bitterness, anger, and resentment; exemplified with a curse explicative with every other sound that proceeds from her mouth. No…this mature woman understands that she’s been marked by Heaven’s Brand she carries a brand that is to be compromised or confused with those who don’t know their identity and refuse to be confuse her intellect with the words that comes out of her mouth that reflects her insecurity, inferiority, and her insignificance.
No…this is God’s woman, who will not be diminished to a shear sex symbol, or dispersible item that only serves one purpose …she doesn’t belong to man nor was she labeled by man. She belongs to God and she is branded by Heaven. You see Heaven’s brand is a woman who wears the character of God and not the small perspective of man.
She is not reduced to what others say, because she is seen by God, El Roi. So, she doesn’t strive for click bait, viral videos, or likes on a disrespectful conversation that diminishes her power and distorts her purpose.
You see, God’s woman who carefully crafts her word with grace and dignity.
She understands that the specific words that come out of her mouth reflects her pain or her purpose and she refuses the select vocabulary or the lack thereof that misrepresents the character of God.
She knows she is identified as the one who sees her…God’s Woman…Heaven’s brand.
This song is for the wise woman who has stood in quiet places,
misunderstood, overlooked, and hurting,
yet still choosing.
The woman who, like Hagar,
believed she was cast aside,
only to find out she was seen.
Seen by God.
Seen by El Roi,
the God who sees.
The God who never turned His face away.
The God who never asked her to become someone she was not.
When He looks at you…He does not see your pieces,
your brokenness,
your incomplete places.
He sees His beloved.
The apple of His eye.
His woman fearfully and wonderfully made.
Marked by Heaven.
Branded by God Himself.
There is a sound in this song…a sound that does not simply reach your ears but finds you.
A sound that reaches into those hidden places,
those places you hid away so no one would dare to ask a question.
A sound that touches those places of hurt, those places of trauma,
those places of fear you have so graciously learned to carry.
And in this sound…There is a breaking.
A loosening.
A gentle unraveling.
Because you were never called to chase the woman
you were trying to become.
You were called to be the woman you already are.
This song was written out of a place of my own personal exhaustion.
A place of quiet collapse from searching for a version of me
I thought I’d lost.
I was searching…reaching…reshaping…trying to fit into something that was never tailored for my soul.
An outfit that didn’t carry my name.
A mold that could not hold my oil.
And in my own sacred space, my throne room
I wept.
Not polished.
Not powerful.
Just…undone.
“I am not a niche.
I am not a brand built by human hands.
I am God’s woman.
I am Heaven’s Brand.”
And in that moment,
I remembered;
Everything I am…is already within me.
God did not create me to be summarized,
boxed, or reduced to a mere sentence.
To do so would be to cheapen what Heaven has already deemed valuable.
So, this is my prayer…
When every woman hears this song,
something shifts.
Not on the outside
but deep within.
That it would wash over your spirit,
quiet the noise and restore your confidence in who God created you to be.
That you would stop chasing approval.
Stop performing for validation.
Stop bending to fit what was never designed for you.
And instead…You would stand.
Whole.
Certain.
Unapologetic.
And declare:
“I am enough.
I am God’s woman.
I am Heaven’s Brand.”
And before the world ever heard this song,
before it was released into the air,
it already began to heal.
