Proverb of the Day 25
“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.” (v.2)
Proverbs 25 is a chapter about humility, restraint, and revelation.
It reminds us that wisdom isn’t just about what you know — it’s about what you’re willing to seek and how you carry what you find.
God hides truth not to keep us from it, but to draw us closer to Him in the pursuit.
Those who search with humility discover not just answers, but depth.
This chapter drops pure gold:
• “Do not exalt yourself in the king’s presence, and do not claim a place among his great men.” (v.6)
• “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.” (v.11)
• “Through patience a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone.” (v.15)
• “Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.” (v.28)
Proverbs 25 reminds us that true strength is controlled, not loud.
Wisdom whispers. Pride shouts.
And God reveals His mysteries to the ones humble enough to listen.
Challenge:
Stay curious. Stay humble.
Don’t rush to speak — seek to understand.
Because kings aren’t born by pride… they’re shaped by pursuit.
