Far be it from me to lose my faith
When silence fills this sacred space
When prayers return with no reply
And hope feels faint beneath the sky
Far be it from me to doubt His hand
When I can’t trace what He has planned
For faith was never meant to see
It’s trust in what He said will be
This mountain looms before my view
Unshaken, vast, unmovable too
But whispers rise within my soul
Speak to the stone, I’m in control
Far be it from me to run or flee
When waves are roaring over me
I’ll stand upon the storming sea
For grace still holds my trembling knees
The mountain moves, not by my might
But by His power, endless light
For every tear and every plea
Is casting faith into the sea
So let the waters swallow fear
Let doubt dissolve and disappear
Far be it from me to not believe
My God still moves, and I still breathe
