Weekly Update 27/Jan/2026
Hey all so this week I have planted my first seeds of the season. Last year we didn't start till April/May as we only turned our garden into a Veg Kitchen in the Easter holidays. So I am excited to be able to get the full growing season this year.
I have got red and White onions, Leeks, Spring onions and a couple of flowers ready to go in seed trays. And I have my potatoes Chitting on our window seal currently.
Jobs in the garden for January so far have included
  • Weeding - lots of weeding lol
  • Trying to save the mud pit that our paths have turned into
  • Cutting back all the dead brambles ( we have brambles running the length of our back fence.
  • Preparing a couple of beds as I want to get my Peas and Beans in at the weekend.
What have you done this week or on your list to do?
