Little worm farm emergency 🪱 🪱
Hey Marty hey everyone, I'd really appreciate any advice on how to get my worms out of all their castings so I can clean it all out. I have a 4 tier Can O Worms farm.. the trouble is I never cleaned out their castings since I started it last year and now I need to figure out how to get them to move out of their castings into the fresh coco bedding tray. There are a lot of worms semi dormant in the castings. I've put a fresh tray of bedding block above and below, hopefully they migrate to that.. if I can get them to move into the fresh bedding and then up into the very top feeding tray, I can salvage this..
HOW TO HARVEST WORM CAST LIKE A PRO
Today I am adding videos to the Advanced Worm Farming Mastery Course. Once you learn how to harvest worm castings like the professionals do there is no looking back! I will also be adding more videos such as sifting your harvested worm casts. In my opinion, it's the best fertiliser on the planet, and best of all, you can make it at home with your kitchen scraps. This is available for Premium and VIP in the classroom. Happy Worm Farming Marty
HOW TO HARVEST WORM CAST LIKE A PRO
Marty will probably disown me for this confession…
Hello members of the Garden Creator Hub My name is Alisha, and worms creep me out… Now don’t get me wrong, I get excited when I see them in my veggie beds as I know that’s one of the signs that the soil is good, and last night I went on a walk and a big fat worm was in the middle of concrete path, and I had to go back with a stick and flick him onto the grass so he had half a chance, but the thought of a worm farm makes me squirm (pun ABSOLUTELY intended 😂) Can anyone help me get over this fear??? PS I love my worm castings I buy from the warehouse, so I know everything they do is good for my garden! Just the thought of a worm farm is a big fat “no thanks” 😬 Thanks in advance for any words of encouragement… 👍🏼
CONNECTING WORM FARMING INTO YOUR GROW SYSTEMS
Did you know that by adding worm farms into your edible gardening systems you can take your whole garden to the next level? With today's growing costs at the supermarket, I feel it's time to bring back the Worm farming gardening systems and cross them over into the courses and my content. It's such an awesome way to grow food at home in a sustainable cost cost-effective manner. Any gardener can do it, whether you have a large or small space, and it's not too time-consuming. You can make fertiliser for delicate seedlings and give them an amazing head start. You can feed pots/ containers and provide a solid nutrient boost to mature plants to help with overall plant health and production. In the seed-raising course, I go over different ways to use worm casts and worm liquids and I plan to cover this in more depth over time. You will notice in the course materials that I will mention ways to implement and use your worm farms to get even better results. I feel that more and more edible gardeners are considering taking this path. Are you one of them? Maybe you're all already worm farming and having success, but what if you could master it even more? I would love to hear your thoughts below in the comments. Happy Worm farming Marty
