Dehydrator vs Air Drying for herbs
I've had a few discussions with budding herbalists and gardeners who are interested in growing herbs and using them not just for food, but also medicinally in teas and tinctures, etc.
While I have a dehydrator, I prefer to use my drying rack, as I learned that heat can sometimes negatively impact the quality of the medicinal compounds.
I've dried all sorts of herbs from Calendula, Lemon Balm, Oregano, Thyme, and Dandelion. Something to note, though, is that if you are in a humid climate, you need to ensure there is airflow to prevent the plants from becoming mouldy.
Anyway, thought I'd share in case you're thinking of drying herbs.
