It’s been a minute…
Fellas, I apologize for my absence. After October, my schedule SHOULD open back up, and I’m looking forward to getting back into The Forge with y’all. Trust me when I say it’s been a crazy-busy season. I know a lot of y’all are in that same boat right now.
One of the unexpected blessings of where we are with AI and technology is that I’ve been able to get back into songwriting without having to spend the enormous amount of time it normally takes to write, play, record, mix, etc. an entire song.
Believe me, doing it the traditional way is still my preferred method because there’s something deeply personal about playing and recording your own music. But when I have a song idea burning in my head that I want to get out, I’m genuinely thankful to God for the technology we have available today. It gives me a way to capture those ideas and turn them into something I can actually hear.
That’s where this song came from.
God has been pressing a lot on my heart lately regarding my own spiritual walk. These songs have just been flowing into my mind, and I’ve felt compelled to get them out before they disappear.
I’m not trying to replace the process or the creativity of making music myself. I’m simply using the tools available to me to capture what God has been putting on my heart.
I hope y’all enjoy these songs, but more importantly, I hope they encourage you, challenge you, and point you back toward Christ.
