Welcome to The Direction Project!
My name is Aaron. I grew up with a single mum in Stockport and never met my dad. As a teenager, I started getting into trouble, which led to prison and made me leave school with no GCSEs and eventually getting kicked out of my home at 16. I ended up homeless, sleeping at night in buses at the Stockport bus station before moving into a hostel.
The reason for The Direction Project is simple, to share my story and offer the guidance and support that was never available to me. The goal is to show you that no matter where you are right now, you can make something amazing of your life if you're willing to work for it. This is a free community for anyone aged 14-30 in the UK who feels unsure or needs a new direction.
