The Daniel Fast is a physical, spiritual and mental cleanse. The goal is to purify our body, show our faithfulness to God, and create space for Him to give us new visions and dreams. It is different from other fasts in that it doesn’t restrict how much we eat/drink but rather what you eat.
Inspired by the Book of Daniel where “Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine.” (Daniel 1:8 NIV), for at least 21 days we are choosing only to eat vegetables and water.
You’ll find all of the preparation work, reflection prompts & a grocery list in the Classroom, on how to prepare for the fast, do your groceries, what to eat and not eat.
You'll also be reading through the book of Daniel, reading 4 chapters a week. Reflections are also found in the Classroom.
Please introduce yourself in the group and share your intentions for this fast. The goal of this community is to support and encourage each other along the way. The overall goal of the fast is to grow closer to God. I pray these habits renew your mind, discipline your body, and draw you closer to The Father.
