Had a call with the TikTok Creator Program team today, and whew—lots of gems. Here are 4 key takeaways you can actually use right now:
The Creator Rewards Program pay you for videos over 1 minute!!
1. They want longer videos. TikTok is pushing 1-minute+ content. That means: show up, talk more, and position yourself as the go-to expert in your niche.
2. Quality over chaos. Stop throwing random stuff up just to say you posted. TikTok is rewarding content that actually feels intentional and put together.
3. Use the tools they gave you. They want you to create content in the app or with CapCut. They're tracking that.
4. Be consistent or get buried. If you're posting once every other month, don’t expect reach. Even a simple cadence (like once or twice a week) can help you show up more.
Bonus: TikTok is literally doing the research for you. There's a tool called Content Gaps that shows you what people are searching for—but aren’t seeing enough of. I’ll break that down in another post (once I charge my phone lol).
Do what you want with this info… just don’t say nobody told you.
