Dear Modern Men.
Dear Modern Men,
What exactly are you doing?
We handed you a perfectly functioning system.
It took centuries to construct.
Carefully layered. Biblically justified. Culturally enforced.
We positioned you as leaders, providers, protectors.
We convinced women it was divine order.
All you had to do was maintain it.
Not dismantle it.
Do you understand what you’ve done?
Patriarchy was never supposed to be obvious.
It works best when it feels natural.
When women believe submission is love.
When sacrifice feels sacred.
When endurance feels virtuous.
Instead, you made it unbearable.
You exposed the laziness behind the authority.
You demanded obedience without offering security.
You wanted reverence without responsibility.
In our time, we controlled, yes.
But we maintained the illusion of stability.
And more importantly, we sold them romance.
We packaged dependency as devotion.
We marketed sacrifice as love.
We convinced them that loving you deeply was their highest calling.
And they believed it.
They could love you to their own erasure.
To their own exhaustion.
To their own death.
That was the brilliance of it.
Romantic love was the softest weapon we ever used.
And you shattered even that.
You traumatized them so thoroughly inside marriage, inside motherhood, inside partnership that many no longer romanticize it.
Now look at them.
Most are operating in what they call their masculine energy.
Hyper independent. Hyper aware.
In therapy. In meditation.
Working harder. Planning better. Protecting themselves.
Do you understand what happens when a woman in survival mode becomes disciplined?
She builds.
Do you understand what happens when she builds?
She earns.
And when she earns, she no longer needs permission.
We depended on controlled scarcity.
We depended on economic reliance.
We depended on weaponized poverty.
What becomes of us when poverty can no longer be weaponized?
What becomes of us when women educate themselves and then educate other women?
What becomes of us when control over women’s bodies is no longer guaranteed?
Do you see the scale of your mismanagement?
You abandoned children publicly.
You multiplied families without multiplying provision.
You preached leadership while competing with women for survival.
You forgot the first rule of dominance.
Do not destroy the structure that feeds you.
Women were meant to depend on you emotionally and economically.
That dependence was the spine of the system.
Now look.
They earn their own money.
Some earn more than you.
They are choosing not to marry.
Not to mother.
Not to center you.
Do you understand the magnitude of this shift?
The greatest manipulation of all was matrimony, a lifelong contract disguised as romance.
And you mishandled even that.
You traumatized them inside the institution that was meant to secure your legacy.
Now many fear it.
Their daughters question it.
Some marry each other.
Some choose solitude over submission.
Do you know how dangerous a woman becomes when she is no longer afraid of being alone?
Do you know how powerful she becomes when she realizes survival does not require you?
You were never meant to compete with women.
You were meant to appear above them while quietly depending on their unpaid labor, emotional regulation, and loyalty.
Instead, you showed insecurity.
You showed immaturity.
You showed emotional volatility without accountability.
And now they see you.
The myth is cracking.
They no longer respect leadership simply because it is male.
They measure competence.
They observe character.
They walk away.
The family system, our strongest anchor, is no longer guaranteed by fear or necessity.
You made patriarchy visible.
And once oppression becomes visible, it begins to collapse.
We built a system where being born male was enough.
You exposed that it is not.
Now women are rising, educated, financially autonomous, emotionally aware.
And I fear you do not yet understand.
The power you thought was permanent was always conditional.
You were supposed to preserve the illusion.
Instead, you accelerated the awakening.
And I do not see how you recover what has been revealed.
The power you thought was permanent was always conditional.
You were supposed to preserve the illusion.
Instead, you accelerated the awakening.
And I do not see how you recover what has been revealed.
Sincerely,
An Ancestor Who Understood the Assignment
