Catching is the hardest position in the hardest sport. Yet most catchers are never coached in the parts that actually decide playing time. Receiving and throwing can get you in the lineup, but trust, game control, mental toughness, and more are what keep you in the lineup.
I’ve spent 20 years in the game as a catcher and now get to coach the position with that same lens. I’m from Castle Rock, Colorado and played at Valor Christian High School, winning a state championship in 2018. I began my career at Walters State CC, achieving two JUCO World Series appearances. After JUCO I walked on at Colorado Mesa University, the winningest college baseball program of the last decade. I earned the starting catcher role, leading regional and super regional runs. While at Mesa, I won a Gold Glove, set a single season games caught record, and received multiple all-conference awards.
This is not a page for mechanical fixes, but one that sharpens the way you think and act.
