๐Ÿ’– Welcome to Our Caregiver Support Circleโ€”From One Caregiver to Another ๐Ÿ’–
Hi everyone, and a truly heartfelt welcome to this new space.
My name is claire and the reason this page exists is simple: I know what itโ€™s like.
Right now, my own father is 84, completely housebound with his Stage 4 Parkinson's, and his mobility has deteriorated dramatically over the last 12 months. As his younger daughter, it is incredibly hard to see a parent go through this. I know firsthand that this journey comes with so many emotions, with good days and bad days, and moments of real loss and grief mixed with love.
That's why support, friendship, and reaching out to others in the same position is such a warm and necessary feeling. This isn't just another support group; it's a circle of people who get it without needing an explanation.
This Circle is Built on Shared Strength Iโ€™ve created this space so we can stop feeling alone and start connecting. Here, we can exchange real-world advice, find a shoulder to lean on, and celebrate the small victories.
Tell Me Your Story (And Why It Matters)
I know your journey is unique, and that is its greatest power. I'm personally inviting you to share your own story and experiences as a caregiver. Whether you are caring for a parent, a spouse, a sibling, or a friend, your story belongs here.
  • Who are you caring for, and what are the day-to-day realities of your situation?
  • What is one thing about your loved one that always makes you smile?
  • In your experience, why is support and friendship so vital on this journey?
Please take a moment to introduce yourself below. Your personal journey isn't just a storyโ€”it's the comfort and strength that will empower the rest of us.
I'm looking forward to reading your introductions and sharing this journey with you. Thank you for being here.
