I’m Nikki - a tech founder and small business owner. Before starting my own businesses, I spent about 15 years in the corporate world working across business process improvement, product management and program management.
I’ve always been fascinated by how businesses work and how they can work better. That curiosity led me to complete both an MBA and a Master of Analytics, but some of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned have come from actually building and running businesses myself.
One thing I’ve realised along the way is that building a business can feel surprisingly lonely. Having a community of people who understand the journey can make a huge difference.
I’ve also seen first-hand how much bad business advice is out there — often from people who have never actually built a business themselves or had real skin in the game.
And the other thing I’ve learned? Not every business needs to scale or become a unicorn.
Sometimes the goal is simply to design and build a business that works for you - one that is sustainable, profitable, and supports the life you want to live.
That’s why I created The Boring Business Club.
A space where we can share lessons learned, best practices, practical advice, and help each other build better businesses.
I’d love to get to know everyone here, so feel free to introduce yourself below - what kind of business are you building?
