The build that started it all
We just opened a classroom for the whole Iron Man build, and this is lesson one: the day we decided to do it.
Heads up, you may have seen this one before. We're getting organized and putting our content into real classrooms so the build is easy to follow in order from the very start. A few of these older videos are getting their own lessons.
This is where it all began. The big goal is a wearable, motorized Iron Man suit for Evan, but first we had to figure out if a family with almost no experience could even pull off the 3D printing. So we set the goal, talked through the plan, and started learning.
I also put together a Build Log and Parts Roadmap to go with this lesson. It maps the whole build stage by stage, the files and materials we're using, and where to get the gear. It's attached, free to download.
What big project have you been talking about building with your kid? Tell us in the comments.
