This Week's Must-Watch: The $1,000/Hour Solo AI Business Playbook
I found a video this week that maps perfectly onto what I keep saying about the New Factory economy: AI is not just a tool, it is a new kind of business model.
Greg Isenberg's Startup Ideas Podcast just dropped an episode with Corey Ganim, who lays out his entire playbook for a one-person AI consulting business. He sells a 999 dollar, 45 minute AI Tools Assessment to small business owners, guaranteed to find them at least five reclaimed hours a week. From there he runs a simple four phase system (discovery call, AI analysis in Claude, a dead-simple report, review call) that converts about half his clients into bigger implementation work, and eventually into a retainer he calls the AI Concierge, worth 1,200 to 2,000 dollars a month. He hit 8K in monthly recurring revenue in just ten days.
Three things worth stealing:
Diagnose before you prescribe -- the discovery call happens before any tool gets named.
Simplicity sells -- his report is just an executive summary, quick wins, and a four-day quick-start plan.
The real money is in the retainer, not the one-time sale.
