Question
I'm just starting, how would I go about getting clients?
Good videos
Great videos, just finished the 2 modules. I also came from the Real Estate Industry. I landed my first client for tomorrow, I found them on NEXTDOOR. How should I quote my jobs?
A typical week in the Life of a successful Handyman
Work scheduled this week of 9-28-2006 Monday- Remove and replace customer supplied rear exterior door including trim and paint. Revenue including small incidental materials and supplies. $1040 Tuesday- Interior painting (2 bedrooms)-full day not including materials-Revenue $875 Wednesday/Thursday- Exterior painting-Two full days-Revenue $1750 Friday-Replace five deck boards including materials-Half day $585 I don't usually do that much painting but it ended up that these two jobs are back to back. This is all out of the backpack with exception of a paint pan and a roller pole. Home by 5 and off on the weekend. How is this possible? Well it wasn't always this way. A lot of mistakes were made and a lot of trial and error was required. Working harder isn't the entire answer. Choosing the right customer, the right job, the right menu of services and the right pricing structure will go a long way and I will show you how to get there quickly. Welcome to The backpack Handyman! Lets get to work!

Checking in....
I hope you all had a great week. I've been busy as usual but I am dedicating the next 3 days to our community! I would love to hear from everyone as the course materials get loaded so please share your thoughts, I really want it to be helpful to you all immediately.
Today was a great day in the field!
Today I completed what I call a Half Day Service Appt., A few miles from my house, fixing squeaky floors and Creaky stairs. The customer paid me $450 for roughly four hours onsite, he paid a 45% deposit when he accepted and the balance in full when I was finished. He accepted 8 days ago and waited patiently until his scheduled day (today). He said he will be referring me and will post a five star review. What I did right: I viewed the job in person I provided a professional looking quote within a few hours of the appointment I set and managed expectations I explained what I was going to be doing and what I needed moved out of the way I sent him a schedule confirmation I sent him a text this morning when I was on my way I showed up on time, clean and organized I set my backpack and loose tools on a simple door mat that I brought in with me I completed the work quickly and exactly how I told him I would be doing it I cleaned up the work area I didn't use profanity or discuss politics I sent an invoice immediately when I was finished I made sure he knew how to pay using the link in my invoice I thanked him and respectfully drove off He paid me before I was out of the neighborhood I will share the review here when it comes in In this community, this is exactly what I want to show you how to do! The work involved to get this type of customer to pay this kind of money for a simple job takes time to figure out and lots of trial and error. I can help you shave years off of this process. The small amount of money that I am charging for my upcoming courses pales in comparison to the money you will make with what I will be showing you here. Join today, I recommend Premium so you can be a part of the next Zoom Call. I promise that by the time the next payment is due, you will have seen the value and will want to stick around. Thanks for listening! Hope to see you on the call!
