They say we are the evil ones,
The ones who demand more they can give.
But why is it wrong for me
To fight for who I am?
Why shouldn’t I be allowed
To marry a woman?
We are not demanding something
They don’t have,
We just want to have the same rights
And the same opportunities
And the same chances
As everyone else.
Even if some of them try to understand it,
They’ll never know how it feels
If you can’t tell your own family
And your own friends
Who you really are deep down inside your heart.
They’ll never know how it feels
If you don’t know what label fits you
While you don’t even want one
And just think about it
So they feel more comfortable around you.
And no, it’s not “just a phase”.
Even if it was, its none of their business,
So why do they treat it as such?
Why can’t they just leave us alone
And live their life’s
Like anyone else does?
All of us,
Every single one of us,
We are all only human,
Nothing more and nothing less.
In the end,
We all bleed the same blood,
No matter who we love or how we look.
