My Self-Care Sunday Bath Ritual đŸ›đŸ§Œ
There’s something timeless about the way water invites us to pause. For me, the bath has always been more than a luxury—it’s a weekly anchor, a ritual that helps me reset and reconnect. Even as a child, I sensed that soaking in warm water was a way to let go and begin again. Now, as a Fire Archetype, with energy that runs high and a mind that rarely sits still, this ritual is my way of finding stillness in the midst of movement.
Even my family knows not to disturb unless the house is burning down đŸ”„đŸ˜‚
Each Sunday, I create a bath that’s both practical and mystical—a blend of ancient minerals and modern intention. Magnesium chloride flakes are my go-to for soothing post-workout aches and helping my body feel more relaxed and lighter. ✹
Butterfly Pea Powder transforms the water into a calming blue, a visual cue to slow down and breathe. And the essential oils? They’re chosen with care, depending on what my body and spirit need most that week. Sometimes it’s Ylang Ylang for emotional balance, Juniper Berry for circulation, or Wild Orange for a zesty spark of joy, or perhaps a blend of all three.
Here’s my typical Self-Care Sunday Base recipe:
1 teaspoon Anima Mundi Butterfly Pea Powder (Clitoria ternatea) aids nervous system balance
5 to 6 drops of in-the-moment essential oils
Some of my bath favorites include:
🌾 Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata var. genuina) is a wonderful mood enhancer, as well as providing relief from muscle aches and pains
🌳 Juniper Berry (Juniperus communis) to help circulate stagnant energy and release muscle tension
🌿 Sweet Marjoram (Origanum marjorana), let go of what no longer serves and relieve soreness. I don’t know where I would be without Sweet Marjoram
🍊 Wild Orange (Citrus sinensis) has a fantastic, sparkly aroma and helps support the immune system
đŸȘ” Indian Cedarwood (Cedrus deodara) is wonderfully grounding, a breath-opener, and relieves soreness
This ritual isn’t just about relaxation—it’s a way to wash away any negativity from the week before and prepare for what’s ahead. The magnesium supports my active lifestyle, the butterfly pea powder brings a sense of calm, and the essential oils make this practice a must-have in my self-care cupboard. I often laugh at how dramatic my “bath setup” looks compared to the simplicity of the practice itself. It’s a gentle reminder that self-care doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective.
Reflecting on this, I’m curious:
What’s your version of a weekly reset?
How do you create space to let go and prepare for the week ahead?
If you have a ritual—whether it’s a bath, a walk, or a quiet moment with your favorite blend—I’d love to hear about it. Sharing these small wins helps us build a community where self-care feels accessible, meaningful, and deeply supportive for every archetype.
Let’s keep the conversation going—what’s your self-care ritual?
