Hellooowewe Boss Babes! How are we doing today???
I am in the train as I’m writing this and a conversation I once had with my father came rushing back in my thoughts.
It went something like this:
Me: Papa won’t get into the corporate world. I hate working for someone else.
Papa: Then what will you do with your life?
Me: I’ll build my own business so that I can design my life, and buy things without looking at the price tag🫢🤣
Papa: Building a business isn’t a cakewalk. Plus, you’ll know why I look at the price tag before buying things. When you are one earning, you don’t feel like spending it.
Me: MATLAB KUCH BHI!
Fast Forward to about a year later -
I did internship
Earned 5k/ month
Saved 3 months stipend
Invested in a freelancing course
Got my first client and earned 3X the amount I invested in just 1 month.
Along with this, I even saved 1 lakh rupees, bought myself the latest iPhone (not to show it off, but to accelerate my content creation process) & now my brother has saved my number as his ATM.
I’m not trying to say that my father was wrong. He comes from a background where people believed only Rich People can afford a Lifestyle of their choice.
They believed that you have to keep earning & keep saving.
Why? For your child’s future!
But I don’t want their money. I want to make, spend, and save my own money!
I don’t want to adopt this limiting mindset -
“You’ll go bankrupt if you keep spending”.
NO!
“You’ll keep earning more if you go bankrupt!”
I have valid reasons why I said this.
If ya’ll want to know that, comment below & I’ll definitely update.
(I didn’t want to write whole ass essay on this 😬)
Love,
G💗
