Lately I’ve been seeing more developers moving their voice agents from Vapi → Retell, and I’m curious to understand the real reasons behind this shift.
Some observations people mention:
- Retell call quality feels more natural and human-like
- Less latency in real-time conversations
- More control over voice behavior and call flow
- Better pricing for high-volume usage
- Easier integrations with tools like n8n, Supabase, CRM systems, etc.
At the same time, Vapi is still solid — super easy to get started with, good documentation, and a strong no-code ecosystem.
So here’s the discussion point 👇➡ If you switched from Vapi to Retell, what pushed you to make that change?➡ If you’re still using Vapi, what keeps you there?
Not promoting either one — just trying to understand the developer sentiment and practical differences based on real experiences.
Would love to hear your thoughts!
