The real battle isn’t out there. It’s in your mind.
I’m reading a book called The War of Art and I’m reminded that the real enemy to our progress isn’t lack of talent… it’s resistance. Resistance shows up as hesitation. As overthinking. As “I’ll start tomorrow.” As telling yourself you need one more tutorial, one more plan, one more perfect moment. But the truth is, resistance doesn’t show up when something doesn’t matter. Resistance shows up when you’re getting close to the thing that could change your life. So if you feel the pull to procrastinate today…If your mind is trying to talk you out of learning something new…If you're convincing yourself you’re not ready yet… Good. That’s the signal. That means you’re right on the edge of growth. Instead of trying to defeat resistance in one big heroic moment, do what actually works: Show up for one small action. Learn one thing. Try one messy draft. Take one uncomfortable step. You don’t need to win the war today. You just need to win this moment. Because motion breaks resistance. Momentum quiets the fear. And once you start, everything gets easier. So ask yourself: What is the one simple thing you can do today...right now...that Resistance doesn’t want you to do? Do that. Post it below. Let’s make today the day we move forward anyway.

Christmas lights
Just finished putting up the Christmas lights. Yeah, I know we live in the AI era where you can automate pretty much anything… but this? Nah. This is one of those things I’m doing myself until my body taps out and tells me otherwise. There’s something about climbing the ladder, untangling the mess, stepping back and seeing the house light up that just hits different. Feels like the one tradition I don’t ever want AI to touch. Lights are up.

The universe delivers. I'm a survivor!
I love attending Tony sessions. My first was in 2016 after my first cancer recovery. I was running a company and had to shut it down due to my health. I took a job teaching and started doing my art again. In the stacking session led by Tony, I said I wanted to be a powerful artist. I forgot to ask about getting paid, lol. Now, 10 years later, having cancer-related surgery again. In 2025, I am redefining myself. I will be very specific, I am driven, have the vision, I am decisive, and am relentless in achieving my goals. The universe delivers. I can't wait for tomorrow. BTW...pic is from this summer, my art in NYC Times Square!!!

Coming out of the dark
Depression can make life feel heavy, slow, and confusing — but even in the darkest moments, small steps can lead to brighter days. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen. And it begins with giving yourself permission to take one step at a time. 1. Start With Small Wins You don’t need to fix everything at once. Simple actions like getting out of bed, taking a walk, or talking to someone you trust can slowly rebuild your strength. 2. Stay Connected Isolation makes the weight feel heavier. Reach out to a friend, family member, or someone who listens without judgment. Opening up doesn’t make you weak — it helps you heal. 3. Be Kind to Yourself You’re doing the best you can with what you’re carrying. Replace self-criticism with patience. Rest when you need to, and celebrate progress, no matter how small. 4. Do Things That Bring Light Music, sunlight, journaling, prayer, hobbies — these little sparks of joy can remind you that you’re still here, still growing, still deserving of peace. 5. Seek Professional Support When You Need It Talking to a mental-health professional can provide guidance and tools that make the journey easier. Reaching out for help is a sign of courage, not weakness.
