Most CRM migrations don’t fail because of “data.”
They fail because of the invisible logic no one checks.
Everyone talks about moving contacts, pipelines, tags, deals, but almost no one talks about the real reason migrations break revenue:
  • Automations don’t translate.
  • Triggers don’t fire the same way.
  • Workflows lose conditions.
  • Systems with “the same features” don’t behave the same.
This is why someone can switch from HubSpot → Gohighlevel or ActiveCampaign → GHL and suddenly:
• follow ups stop
• opportunities freeze
• leads never enter the correct stage
• reporting becomes nonsense
• revenue drops without anyone noticing
And here’s the strange part: The migration looks successful on the surface. It’s the backend logic that collapses.
I’ve done enough of these to know the dangerous part isn’t moving data, it’s rebuilding the intent of the original system so nothing breaks when the new CRM takes over.
