Hey everyone. I'm a writer and also run a publishing company. I'm excited to learn more about how AI can help me run my business. There are some really fantastic tools out there and I am a complete newbie. But I definitely have a love/hate relationship with AI when it comes to writing. I love that AI can help generate ideas, and flesh out topics, but I hate it when people try to pass off books that AI has written as their own. There's something so amazing about writing a story. It's sort of like giving birth. Suddenly you have this creation you poured your heart and soul into walking around in the world. It changes and grows you in ways that fast AI creation can't. And that process changes your readers too. AI creation can rob a person and their readers of this beauty when it does too much of the work for them. A lot of AI content can lack authenticity and that human touch. I'll be interested in seeing if anyone is talking about the balance we need to find in creation with AI.
