“Don’t Text Jesus ‘Let Me Know’”

One day I saw my friend sitting on the couch like a melted candle—hair everywhere, eyes half closed, holding a cup of tea that had clearly given up on life three hours ago.

I said, “Hey… let me know if you need anything.”

She looked at me.😂

I looked at her.😊

The tea looked at both of us.🫠

Silence.🤐🤐🤐🤐

Then suddenly—BOOM—Jesus shows up, pulls a chair, grabs the cold tea, walks to the kitchen, makes a fresh one, brings snacks, cleans the table, and sits down like He owns the place (which… honestly, He does).

I whisper, “Jesus… I just said ‘let me know.’ That’s polite!”

He smiles,😊 “Polite is easy. Love is action.”

My friend starts laughing, “So basically… you said nothing, and He did everything.”

I try to defend myself, “But I meant it!”

Jesus raises an eyebrow, “Then why didn’t you move?”

Ouch.

Then He hands me the broom.🧹

“Congratulations,” He says, “you’ve been upgraded from ‘talker’ to ‘doer.’ Try not to downgrade again.”

So there I am… sweeping… while my friend is finally smiling… and Jesus is eating the snacks I didn’t even think to bring.

Lesson learned:Next time—no speech.🎤

Just show up… and maybe bring better snacks than Jesus.
