ChatGPT silently dropped three new features that you should know about.
First, the new GPT 5.1 model is now live. Auto, Instant, and Thinking have all been upgraded to the 5.1 version.
This update makes ChatGPT smarter, more natural to talk to, and better at following instructions.
Second, the Personalization section now includes more personality presets.
They are also testing settings like how often emojis appear, so more options might roll out soon.
Third, Deep Research can now be updated while it is still running.
You no longer need to restart it. I asked for the top twenty resources for learning how to build AI agents, then changed my request to 15 while the research was already in progress.
It adapted instantly and continued with the updated instructions.
