Little things that make life easier
Earlier this year, my husband and I moved into a house. It's been a lovely change after living in apartments or on couches over the past decade! We're still renters, but we have so much more space to live in and grow into.
One thing I did today to make both our lives a bit easier is move the filtered water dispenser into our bedroom. We're both big water-drinkers and the fridge we have now ALSO dispenses filtered water... but it is on the other end of the house in the kitchen. So we've been dreadfully playing this little game, waiting to see who would be the last one leaving the bedroom for the night, and that person would be asked to refill both our water bottles "on the way back" 😂
In reality, it's been a non-issue. It's one of the ways we care for each other and lean on each other, especially at the end of a long day. And now we'll be able to keep that care going with much less effort.
The water dispenser is literally one of those huge jugs you can get/exchange at the store with a $15 electric attachment that has a hose and a spout. We put it on top of a sturdy plant stand that we already had. It's not cute, but it's functional and comfortable.
What's something you do/have that may not be cute but brings ease or comfort into your life? If you can't think of one, what's a daydream addition to your life that could do this for you?
