I’m migrating my home network gears from Fortinet to Ubiquity Unifi fabric. Ubiquity has evolved over the years and they now produce very solid products that match even enterprise devices like Cisco, Fortinet etc. The best part is it is license free!
If you want to start getting a good hold and control of your home network and you wanna start playing with vlans and other stuff, I recommend Ubiquiti. It will at least give you solid control and complete oversight on what’s going on within your network. Plus you can start getting your hands dirty on some of these concepts. You can control your WiFi, create guest networks and configure your kids to even use separate vlans thereby controlling their access and the kind of content they have access to.
You can get started with the product on the link below and grow from there.
The WAN interface is 10G.
