We are taught two reasons for tax:

But the deeper purpose in evolved systems is alignment.

Alignment between national direction and private ambition.

If a country wants semiconductor independence, it rewards chip manufacturing.

If it fears import dependency, it rewards local production.

If it needs employment,it incentivizes job creators.

Tax becomes a lever.

If your growth solves national problems, the system bends toward you.

Alignment is more powerful than avoidance.
