When your thoughts feel stuck in loops, what helps you step back and observe?
We all have thoughts that come back over and over. Most of the time, we get caught up in the fixation and rumination that come with these thoughts. Learning how to step back and to disconnect from the judgmental thoughts that these loops may stir up can be challenging. It might seem easier for us to simply tell ourselves that we are unworthy of love or undeserving of abundance and support.
Most of the loops we experience are part of our growth. As with all things, we will grow in cycles, and learning to recognize that we are entering a new one is the first step. The second is accepting that these cycles have a life of their own and that they will come and go, often without any clear resolution. What we can begin to notice are the subtle nuances and differences that each repetition of the loop brings, and that is where we can see and measure growth.
Purpose:
To take time to step back and see what might really be happening with these looping thoughts.
Guiding Question:
What understanding emerges when you observe the thoughts that keep returning without resolution?

2. How may the pattern of this loop present itself in your body?
3. What situations and thoughts keep the loop alive?
4. What emotional hooks hold the loop in place?
5. What shifts are beginning to form in the pattern?
