One of the most powerful practices we do is wearing a blindfold.
Why?
Because your eyes constantly search for certainty, control, and distraction.
The moment vision is removed, your awareness naturally shifts inward.
You begin to notice:
- Your breath.
- Every sensation in your body.
- The emotions you’ve been avoiding.
- The subtle energy moving within you.
Suddenly, touch feels deeper.
Sound becomes richer.
Presence becomes unavoidable.
This isn’t about losing control.
It’s about trusting yourself enough to experience life beyond the mind.
Sometimes, closing your eyes is the first step to truly opening your heart.
Reflection for today:
If you couldn’t rely on your eyes for five minutes, what part of yourself would you finally notice?
Share your experience in the comments if you’ve tried a blindfold meditation before. 💛
