My problem with posting viral content

I'm still dealing with a contradiction of whether I should post viral content for building an audience or not

Pros of viral content:

· Fast growth

· You already know that it works

· It grabs people's attention, which is the goal

Cons of viral content:

· Your following will be based on all kinds of people, not only like-minded ones (your "ideal audience")

· Most of the viral content is made for being bookmarked, but there's not much value in it

· You just add more information noise among many other same ones (no positioning)

I've made peace with clickbait hooks, as their only purpose is to grab people's attention, and they're not really clickbait if you then deliver the value promised with the content

But I still refuse to post viral content, even though I know it will make my growth way faster and that the value I create doesn't have much use if no one sees it

What are your opinions and advice on this?
