My business partner quit & joined my competitor. What's your story?

What's the hardest lesson you learned doing business? It is a cruel world out there. As mentioned in the title, I learned people are not always what they seem and to be very cautious who we become partners with.

I started a company when I was 18, in my freshman year of college, along with 2 other guys. After nearly 1 and a half year, one of my partners quit on us and joined our competitor.

The worst part? The competitor and his team were also our friends who we used to spend good amount of time with everyday until this thing with my partner happened.

Dog eat dog world man...
