I Made My First Client $50K and Got Fired.

A lot of unusual things happened with my first client. Right from how I signed him to how I got fired, everything has a great story behind it.

Like I said in the title, I made my first client who is a Travel Agency owner over $50K in revenue in 6 months and at least 10X of that in Life Time Value of the customers.

I was charging him less than a $300 service fee since it was my first time + $500 ad spend per month. The amount of money I made him was insane by Indian standards.

I signed a contract with him for 6 months when I signed him as a client that denies me the right to increase my service charge before the contract expires.

So after 6 months were over, I more than doubled my service charge to $750 and a contract period of 3 months instead of 6 because of the demand my agency had then. Mind you, $750 was the least I was charging at that point.

Anyway, the client was pissed. He fired me saying he can learn digital marketing by watching a couple of videos on YouTube and decided to do everything by himself. (Which he failed to do and overpaid someone else to do it btw)

Now, this incident taught me a very important lesson about how the human brain works and human psychology. This was also one of the first business shocks I ever received.
