I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for history books that are useful for learning from history? I want to learn more about the Peloponnesian War and Napoleon Bonaparte specifically, but really open to anything.
My Recommendation: I have been reading the 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene and just started The Fourth Turning by William Strauss. The first is great at distilling historic stories into applicable principles to apply to your life for gaining influence over groups and individuals, as well as to defend yourself against manipulators. The latter creates a framework for understanding the process by which history repeats itself.
