Hey, Ladies (and all you other women out there)!
How's *that* for a clickbait headline?
I am learning SO VERY MUCH from everyone in this group. One of the biggest strengths of this group is its sheer diversity: we've got young folks and old farts and the age ranges in between; we've got students & academics, sales professionals, tech guys, writers, biologists, employees & freelancers, and really, all kinds of employment & educational backgrounds here. We've got people across several continents with *so many* different perspectives. Some of us come in with already established skills in writing or editing or speaking or organizing or thumbnails or social media influencing, and then there are those who are new to all of it but who ask questions that I, too, need to know the answer to. Every single one of you has something interesting to contribute the conversation, and truly, I am learning a great deal from watching and listening to you all.
It's especially been gratifying to interact with you all IN REAL TIME during the "Mastermind" meet-ups that the 6-week challengers have been participating in.
But, there's one perspective that I'm not hearing as much that I think could add so much to the conversation: WE NEED MORE WOMEN/GIRL/FEMALE VOICES TO JOIN THE CONVERSATION! For that matter, I don't know how many people on our calls identify as non-binary, but, this goes for you, too.
Understand, we have not been talking about issues regarding sexuality or gender identity; we are talking about being the best synthesizers we can be. BUT, nonetheless, just by the fact that you see the world through your female (or non-binary) eyes means that you will occasionally notice things that those of us who grew up male, regardless of our cultural influences, might not naturally think of, and WE ALL BENEFIT when we get that opportunity to see and listen to things from a different perspective.
You do NOT have to commit to the six-week challenge to join the meet-up, so please don't let that hold you back.
joined us last week (and asked a thought-provoking question that generated some excellent discussion) and has already said she'd like to join us this week, and I think one or two others may have lurked on a call or two, so PLEASE consider adding your voice to the mix alongside them.
Here's the sign-up thread to express interest: Online Synthesizers (skool.com)
Notice that the time of the call is set for Saturday morning in CEST (Central European time?), which I realize is at a time that is not convenient for our South American or Eastern North American colleagues, but to the extent that the timing works out okay for you, I hope you'll join us.
