Gumroad, the popular platform for creators, has just released a game-changing feature: Purchase Parity Pricing.

I can't begin to tell you how much warmth this brings to my heart.

I remember countless times looking at the creators I love and going to their products page just to find them asking 3 months of our average salary for their digital product, and becoming so sad that I couldn't afford it then.

I've had experiences where people laughed me out of discovery calls when I said the price they are asking is 6 months' income for a family. I've had people block me when they came to know I was from India because I won't be able to afford their "high ticket" offers.

This feature is not only about pricing. It's about recognizing the existence of developing countries. It's about telling us that we are also important in the digital economy. It's about acknowledging that the creators really care about transforming lives, not just their profits.
