A while ago I started looking into chronotypes, as a night owl, I wanted to understand how I could use that characteristic to my advantage in a world which seems to be set up for the 'morning lark'. (At the time I was working in an 9-5 office job.)
The Power of When by Michael Breus gives each of the four chronotypes (wolf, lion, bear, and dolphin) an hour-by-hour plan which will (based on his research) help you get the most out of your day.
Another book on the topic is When by Daniel H Pink who argues there are three main chronotypes (lark, owl, and third birds) and again gives you an ideal daily schedule for each type.
