My favorite book is Reality Transurfing by Vadim Zeland.
The benefit I got from it was an immense reduction of my overall anxiety in public, an increased "willingness" to do things I previously procrastinated on by following the "reduction of importance" concept, and a massive increase of the overall happiness in my life.
Granted, one may label this under the woo-hoo "law of attraction" school of thought. However, Zeland overcomes this through his past experiences. Zeland used to be a physicist, a role that requires logical thinking, deep insight, and a intense encoding of information, rather than retrieval (1) (2). Simply put, this book isn't just about just "feeling positive," it takes this concept, and many others, and logically explains it in a way that makes sense, and actually works.
