Future proof Intro
So tonight I'm going to talk about "future proofing" our homes and lives based around Sustainability. I titled intro because I will talk in the upcoming days or weeks segments of this intro.
When I talk about future proof I'm talking about things that we can do for our house and ourselves that are going to guarantee we will be sustainable and self-sufficient in the future let's start with gardening
  1. Gardening- as we all know gardening is a good way to be sustainable and self-sufficient most of us know that the food we're buying even though it looks really pretty does not have any vitamins and minerals, it is grown with chemicals and fertilizer this makes it look really pretty and grow really fast therefore it goes on your grocery shelf and you go buy it because it looks good. So as I go into the following weeks I will talk about gardening in a much more in depth value the soil biology the organic fertilizer the companion planting watering methods bug control methods all sorts of different ways that you can naturally go garden and it can provide excellent health, ensuring our future.
2. Renewable Energy - energy is one of those things that we have to have in 2026 to live comfortably in our homes with our lifestyle. There are many kinds of renewable energy the most popular is solar but they also have centrifugal motors, wind power, geothermal power, biomass and on and on and on. I will go into the depth of the ins and outs of all the renewable energy sources and we will determine over the course of time what we think is the best renewable energy for you in your house and future proof you .
3. Water- again this is something that you can't do, water is a very valuable commodity that we believe we have a lot of but we are actually using water from 1,800 to 2,000 years old that we're sucking out of the rock and dirt deep down. And then more and more of our water is becoming saltwater or becoming polluted. I think that water and how we collect water is very important for future proofing. I personally believe that rainwater collection systems are one of the best ways to harvest clean water.
4. Efficiency - I think that this is the best way to become sustainable and self-sufficient and to future proof ourselves. In the future the more that our houses become efficient, the better we get to be more sustainable. So, if we insulate our houses and do what's called "sealing the envelope", meaning close all the cracks and holes it increases our self sufficiency.
We can all make make steps in our journey to eat healthy use different energy sources harvest clean water and become more efficient then we become "future proof" . My goal in this community is to teach you how youcan make your home more and more sustainable and self-sufficient ensuring a long healthy future.
