What if “selfish” was a good word
Yes, I’m selfish.
Selfish with my Jannah.
They told you being selfish is sinful.
They lied.
Selfish with my Tahajjud.
Selfish with my dhikr.
Selfish with my heart.
Selfish with my peace.
I refuse to sacrifice my Hereafter to make others comfortable.
Nothing in this dunya is more urgent
than the meeting with Allah.
The mothers, the daughters, the empaths … we give until we break.
Now we rise until we ascend.
Be selfish with the only relationship that matters forever.
