What do people say about you!?
You are amazing.
At least that's what everyone says.
You're so strong.
So patient.
So selfless.
So giving.
So dependable.
So generous.
So caring.
So kind.
MashAllah.
Wonderful.
Now tell me something.
Why is the woman everyone admires still worried about money?
That's the question nobody asks.
Because praise is cheap.
And people hand it out freely when your sacrifice benefits them.
Think about it.
The woman who says yes.
The woman who never complains.
The woman who picks up the slack.
The woman who carries the family.
The woman who solves everyone's problems.
The woman who puts herself last.
Everyone loves her.
Why wouldn't they?
She's convenient.
The uncomfortable truth?
A lot of women have spent years being rewarded with compliments instead of capability.
Applause instead of opportunity.
Recognition instead of results.
And because the praise feels good...
they stop asking harder questions.
Questions like:
Why do I know so much and earn so little?
Why do I keep helping everyone build their future while postponing my own?
Why does everyone trust me with their problems but nobody trusts me with bigger opportunities?
Why am I still waiting for permission?
Here's the part nobody wants to hear.
People don't usually pay you for being nice.
They pay you for solving problems.
People don't pay for potential.
They pay for capability.
People don't pay for sacrifice.
They pay for outcomes.
And every year you spend collecting praise instead of skills...
the gap gets wider.
More wisdom.
Same income.
More experience.
Same hesitation.
More responsibility.
Same financial ceiling.
Then another year arrives.
Muharram again.
Another notebook.
Another set of goals.
Another promise to yourself.
And secretly...
the same life.
Sister, there comes a point where the problem is no longer lack of information.
It's the story you've accepted about yourself.
The story that says:
"I am the helper."
"I am the supporter."
"I am the one behind the scenes."
"I am not the woman who asks."
"I am not the woman who leads."
"I am not the woman who gets paid well."
That story has cost women years.
