Nightly Devotional | Week Kickoff – Streets Need Faith
Jesus says, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). He is not calling the strong, the polished, or the perfect. He is calling the weary. Many of us are tired in our souls, carrying shame from the past, pressure from the present, and fear about the future. Jesus does not say, “Fix yourself and then come.” He says, “Come to Me and I will give you rest.” We come first, we rest second, and real change follows.
His yoke is not performance or religious hustle, it is relationship. A yoke means we walk with Him, at His pace, carrying the weight together. You do not need a new version of you, you need a deeper union with Him. This week is not about trying harder, it is about staying closer. Before you sleep, lay down what you were never meant to carry and receive His peace. Jesus, teach us to walk with You and rest in You. Amen.
