Why Outlining Matters
Outlining is essential because it helps you lay your script out before you dive into pages. It gives your story structure, helps you catch weak spots early, and makes it easier to build clear beats, stronger character arcs, and a script that actually holds together.
And if you want to get hired for writing gigs, outlining is not negotiable. Your first deliverable to a client will often be the outline, not the script. If you can master outlining before you get the client, you will be in a much better position to deliver strong work, build trust, and get referred to other clients.
