Why Are You Here? (Be Honest)
Not the easy answer. The real one.
Are you here to finish a script? Land a paid gig? Build a network? Learn the business? Or are you here hoping that proximity to other writers will somehow make the work easier?
Here's the thing: making it as a screenwriter or filmmaker requires you to be brutally honest with yourself about where you are, what you actually want, and what's actually standing in your way. Not the story you tell yourself. The truth.
The community can give you feedback, accountability, and connections. But it can't want your career for you. It can't do the writing when you don't feel like it. It can't pitch your project or build your portfolio.
So tell us — **what do you actually want to gain from being here?** And more importantly, **are you willing to do what it takes to get it?**
