We combine the Suzuki philosophy (“mother-tongue” learning, listening, repetition, strong parent role) with the strengths of traditional (note-reading, theory, technique, formal repertoire) to create a balanced, joyful process.
- Listen first, then read. Students build aural memory and musical phrasing through daily listening and imitation, then link sound to notation.
- Early, joyful technical foundation. Age-appropriate posture, finger/hand shape, and basic technique are introduced.
- Parallel literacy. From the start we teach notation and music theory alongside playing, timing and sight-reading are introduced gently.
- Parental partnership. For young students, caregivers attend lessons or support home practice: consistent, positive, short daily practice.
- Repertoire variety. You learn Suzuki pieces for ear, tone, and musical style, and complement them with traditional repertoire and method-book exercises to develop sight-reading and theoretical understanding.
- Performance & community, recitals.
