Diagnostics is key!

When you vehicle starts to break down it is key to remember to diagnose the actual problem. I received a call yesterday for a starter that had died, when I arrived with the starter the employee showed me that it would turn over but not start and it sounded very very weak.

I diagnosed the issue as a weak battery and then once I got it started found that the alternator was seized. It was a more expensive fix for the battery and alternator cost together but it saved time as everything was accessible. But in doing the diagnostic I saved the customer from breaking down later down the road.
